![]() ![]() ![]() I have 2 PS4s so I tried it in both, and had the blueray drive replaced on one of them with a full service. I tried to push ND support but it was over a year since purchase, and they were terrible at responding. RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 PS4 UPDATECleared some space a while later and then when I came to replay the game, it would install, update and then when the disc span up on boot, crash. I bought it on release, played it over the following 10 days, and then put the disc back in the box. I’ve had something similar to this happen once. I have a base PS4 that I’ve never had problems with previously, but since the disc itself appears fine I can only assume the problem is with the console - can anyone recommend anything? I’ve tried deleting the file and starting all over again, but it just fails again at the same point. It’s not a second hand disc and has obviously installed perfectly the first time I downloaded it, so I’m not really sure what I can do here. I got the disc out, checked it - it’s in fine condition but I gave it a clean regardless. The only thing I noticed was a sort of straining, whirring noise my PS4 made when it reached the point where the download stopped (this was with about 20% of the complete download remaining). The progress bar was covered with a white ‘X’, and when I clicked on the download on the PS4 Home Screen, nothing happened - it didn’t display any error messages or failed messages, I just wasn’t able to access the download. The data disc installed perfectly, but the game disc only installed halfway before stopping. It was installed on my PS4 for a solid 2+ years before I uninstalled it about 6 months ago to make space for a new purchase. I’ve had RDR2 on disc for PS4 since its release. ![]()
